Aetna North Carolina Small Business PPO HMO POS

Aetna has recently announced that it will offer 26 types of PPO, HMO and POS insurance plans for small-group or small business owners in the state of North Carolina.

These new plans will cover many preventive care without co-payment, giving small business owners additional options to provide health insurance for their employees.  The new set of plans dubbed “Wellness on Us” is the first of their kind to be provided by Aetna to small businesses in North Carolina.

With small businesses filling the squeeze from the economic crisis, this gives them a less taxing option to provide preventive health services to their employees. By removing co-payment for those preventive care, these new health plans allow small businesses to offer high quality and affordable health benefits to employees.

No co-pay means that the plan holder’s visit to doctors within the network for routine annual exams, physicals, vision exams, gynecological care, mammograms, prostate exams, child wellness visit – “usual and customary” health check up will be free.

These PPO, HMO and POS plans gives Aetna an option of creating tailored health plans for small employers. These plans were also created with an option to have Health Saving Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) added.

Theses plans are design for small businesses who have 10 or more employees who will opt in for health insurance .Aetna PPO, HMO and POS networks include 1054 facilities, over 15,045 physicians and specialist and offer health insurance to more than 308,000 plan holders in North Carolina
